Counseling with a Spiritual Grounding

About Me

I have a deep academic and practical background in transpersonal psychology.  I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and did one year of graduate study in Couple and Family Therapy at Antioch University, New England. I then completed a three-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, with distinction, in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology at the Alef Trust, Liverpool John Moores University, England. My research dissertation studies how practicing therapists and counselors incorporate spirituality in their healing practice; it is currently under peer review. 

I provide counseling to persons of all faiths and genders, and have led a men’s spirituality group for over twelve years. I am a member of both the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the European Transpersonal Association (Eurotas).  My ORCID is https://orcid.org/0009-0004-3407-5833 .

I’ve studied comparative religion extensively; my own spiritual practice is an odd mix, borrowing respectfully from different traditions. I am now in my 60’s, have raised three sons through their adolescence, and now have ten grandchildren. I have worked in the corporate world, in government, and in academia. I have enjoyed and suffered my own life-changing mystical experiences, and am currently following a transformational path.
